Photography is about so much more than a photograph. This extraordinary revelation became one of the most important aspects of my life and craft. It liberated and gifted me to discover meaning and connection wherever I looked. Imaging is for me the experience to learn, reveal and share the essence of people, places and things.
My work in photography has been recognized and awarded in various venues. I’ve earned grants, have images in several private collections, won 1st place in a competition judged by the New York Museum of Modern Art, and have been published in a number of commercial marketing/advertising publications. Honors also include publication in Photographer’s Forum Best of Photography books, Celebrate What’s Right ebook, a Spotlight interview in B&W Magazine and awards in the international Spider Awards competitions.
I’ve managed a photo lab, done weddings and real estate work professionally, and some private photography tutoring.
I’m now concentrating my energies on images that are quiet moments of reflection and observation. These images for me are meditative spaces: a reflection of the experience that when there's stillness & presence, there too is the beauty of the invisible in all things visible.
Imaging is an act of paying attention; rewarding us with gratitude that Life, with or without the camera, becomes alive when we inhabit what we encounter. I hope there are images here that live for you - Enjoy!
